AXIS designs the first private residential project to be awarded BCA's Green Mark Platinium

The facilities for the development are extended into the basement with a sunken valley of connecting spaces and wide swathes of greenery; providing residents places to sit, relax or take a leisurely stroll. The Oceanfront is an eco-friendly design. Based on sun path analyses conducted, planters, balconies and aluminium sun-shading louvers are provided for heat and glare protection. Low-emission glass is used extensively for the façade. The use of prefabricated structures, pre-cast building components and drywall partitions minimized the impact to air, water and noise pollution onsite, and resulted in higher quality control for the individual building components.

Waterfront living goes Green

Several energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly features are in use throughout the development, such as a pneumatic waste disposal system. Friendly and ‘green’ materials are also used extensively throughout the development. In an effort to preserve site ecology, all the trees cleared for the construction site were relocated. Designed for energy and water efficiency, The Oceanfront @ Sentosa Cove is the first development on the island to achieve BCA’s Greenmark Platinum Award.
