Salford Quays is situated opposite the Lowry Centre and the Imperial War Museum to the north of Huron Basin along Manchester’s waterfront. The buildings have slim tapered forms and are clad in timber and zinc, with generous south-facing balconies. Described by the council as ‘a sleek and elegant development’ the building is intended to reflect the quality of the nearby buildings and create a bold impression on the corner of the dock.
A bold architectural statement worthy of its cultural setting
