Hamilton Associates reveal designs for £100m tower complex

London based architects Hamilton Associates have revealed details of their proposals for client Multiplex Developments at Castle House in Elephant and Castle – an area of the capital earmarked for significant regeneration. The proposed development involves the demolition of the existing Castle House and the erection of two new buildings comprising a 43 storey building rising to 147m above ground level and a 5 storey Pavilion building rising to 17m above ground level. Features of the 247,500 sqft project include a benchmark setting 20 m high wind farm at the top of the main building, 310 apartments and retail units at ground level. Work is scheduled to start on site mid 2006 and be completed by 2009.
