Reliving the ethos of sixties Brazilian architecture in idyllic surroundings

Palabritas beach house, recently completed by Peruvian firm Metropolis, is designed with the concept of framing the view of the beach and islands in front of the house and celebrating its scenic coastal surroundings.

The house which is situated on the coast of Lima, Peru, revives the fun essence of 60's Brazilian architecture within the open design, complete with swimming bath on the veranda. A crisp white finish is accentuated with red accessories to match the swimming pool.

The dining room and the living room are designed as an integrated space together with the terrace - this is achieved with sliding glass doors and the interior patio was developed on a lower level where the bedrooms and family room join to create an intimate zone. The main bedroom is located on the first level and was designed so that it has a view towards the ocean.

From inside the living room, the architecture offers a frame that shows off the extraordinary surrounding landscape of the beach, the island and the sunset.
