Bringing a new sense of home to Toronto mixed-use building

Quadrangle’s renovations to 130 Bloor Street West/155 Cumberland Street include the addition of luxury condominiums above an original 1960s, modernist penthouse apartment and the conversion of two office floors below to create more residential suites.

The design retains the principal components of the existing penthouse apartment while upgrading the building with new systems and re-cladding the exterior. A new street and related façade creates more retail spaces in one of Toronto’s upscale shopping districts.

Quadrangle’s design for 130 Bloor Street West was recognized by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) with a 2009 Award of Excellence for Innovation in Architecture Award.
