Frederick Fisher and Partners The Colby College Museum of Art Waterville, Maine

Frederick Fisher & Partners is the architect for a 9,000 sq. ft. addition to the Colby College Museum of Art. Based on the Georgian vernacular of the campus, the Lunder Wing addition serves to unify a divergent group of buildings which make up the museum complex.
The domestic scale and organization of the new wing provides a consistent context for the collection of early American and Impressionist art. The building's simple form refers to the historic antecedents of the existing campus architecture.
The scope of architectural services included master planning for the Colby Art Museum, the New Lunder Wing addition and the Bixler art studio building. Project services also entailed value engineering with the client and construction management team to coordinate the scope of work and budget parameters. Standard architectural services were rendered in conjunction with the campus architect and a local architect for construction administration support.
